Name the Team Contest & All-Inclusive Model Announced

SAVANNAH, GA. November 13, 2015 –Fans First Entertainment introduced their President and Staff on Thursday night to announce how the team will be named, as well as an All-Inclusive model at the ballpark that includes all food and drinks for all season members, mini-plan members and groups.

Fans First Entertainment introduced their President, Jared Orton who announced that Savannah Baseball is teaming up with the Savannah Morning News to launch the “Help us Name the Team Contest.”  People can visit www.savannahnow.com/nameourteam or www.savannahbaseball2016.com to give their suggestion for the team name.  The contest will run until November 30th.  At that point the five team names that are finalists will be released and then narrowed down to the community favorite.  The winning name will be announced after the New Year, once logos, uniforms and merchandise have been completed.

President Orton finished his presentation announcing that Savannah Baseball would also be launching the first ever “All Inclusive Ballpark.”   Orton declared that every season membership, five and ten game membership and every group would have all inclusive food and drinks with their ticket.  These tickets include Chicken Sandwiches, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Popcorn, a Dessert Item, and Soda and Water which will be available throughout the game.    Orton shared that these All-Inclusive tickets are only $15 a ticket. 

“We believe we can create the best value in sports,” said Orton.  “Fans will have the opportunity to come enjoy non-stop entertainment and baseball as well as have all their food and drinks covered for $15.  We’ve already begun to receive a huge response from fans who want to purchase these season memberships and mini-plans to receive this amazing value.  We are so appreciative to this community for all the support.”

Prior to Orton’s presentation, Fans First Entertainment’s Owner, Jesse Cole spoke as well as Coastal Plain League Commissioner, Justin Sellers.
Cole shared the story of Fans First Entertainment and the success of their franchise in Gastonia, NC.

Fans First Entertainment owns and operates the Gastonia Grizzlies of the Coastal Plain League.  The Grizzlies have led the league in attendance the past three seasons, been named Organization of the Year and recognized regionally and nationally for unique promotions and their fan experience.

The Coastal Plain League is the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 20th season in 2016, the CPL features 16 teams playing in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL has had nearly 1,300 alumni drafted and 81 of those – including 2011 AL MVP and Cy Young winner Justin Verlander – make their Major League debut; while another notable alum – Russell Wilson – won Super Bowl XLVIII.
