SPRING 2021

BALLPARK & CONCESSIONS OPERATIONS

The individual chosen to learn from our Ballpark & Concessions Department is in for a treat. Get it… food? Ok seriously, it’s no joke running an All You Can Eat operation for 4,000 people in a few hours.

We have one Stadium Operations Coordinator and a big, historic ballpark, so the few people in this internship will truly oversee certain areas of the facility. Join this team to help prepare the ballpark for games and events, introduce wacky and creative food and drink options, and oversee inventory management and POS operations.

This job can be so broad but in the end, you’d be responsible for allowing our fans to have an amazing experience within the walls of our ballpark based on the impact of our concessions and the facility itself.

You’ll thrive in this position if you love a fast paced workplace, aren’t afraid to work with your hands or jump into any position in a kitchen, and want to creatively re-imagine and care for something beautiful and historic.

This is a fully in-office position.

Estimated Hours: 20 hours/week for 11 weeks, but we can be flexible with this!

Start Date: Mid February (flexible)

End Date: April 30th (flexible)

Potential for continuation through the summer – yes!

DIGITAL DESIGN & MARKETING

The fun creative chosen for this internship will assist in all aspects of the social media scene including working hand in hand with all departments to not only create content, but to organize and schedule it for all of our social media platforms and more.

You will focus heavily on Instagram, and creating ah-ma-zing photos for all of our platforms to utilize. You may also use Adobe Photoshop & InDesign to get your graphic design on to create signage for around the stadium. You can expect to help create wacky email campaigns and keep the Bananas website up-to-date as asked. You’ll help create that first impression for fans, and build relationships with the future fans that find us online.

You’ll thrive in this position if you love scrolling & staying up to date in the social media world (the good, the bad & the downright weird), you enjoy connecting and building relationships with fans online, and you love to get creative and out of your comfort zone to help build the best marketing strategies and content.

This position will need to be at least partially in-office. There is possibility for some amount to be remote.

Estimated Hours: 20 hours/week for 4 to 6 weeks – but, we’re flexible!

Start Date: Early March (flexible)

End Date: April 16th (flexible)

This internship is the only one that is unpaid, intended more for those of you who need class credit and/or an awesome chance to add to your portfolio!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS & MERCHANDISE OPERATIONS

The individual chosen to work with our First Impressions & Merchandise team will be caring, fun, and detail-oriented to be a part of two huge components in the Bananas company – the apparel and the fan experience!

We believe First Impressions are one of the most imperative elements of Fan Experience and you will be challenged to make sure that each fan you encounter is left with an outstanding First Impression of the Savannah Bananas.

In addition, our merchandise is ordered by fans all over the world every day, so this has become a huge creative and logistical undertaking. You will participate in store layout, inventory management, apparel design and concept creation, and shipping operations. One of the things we do every day is call and appreciate every fan who orders merchandise online, and you will oversee this “appreciation of fans” process.

You’ll thrive in this job if you never get tired of answering questions compassionately, are a quick learner and team player, and love being as organized as you are creative.

This is a fully in-office position.

Estimated Hours: 20 hours/week for 11 weeks – but, we’re flexible!

Start Date: Mid February (flexible)

End Date: April 30th (flexible)

Potential for continuation through the summer – yes!

HIRING & ONBOARDING

The individual chosen to join our Hiring and Onboarding Department will help with each touch point of a part-time teammate’s experience. To us, the part-time teammate experience is so much more than “just working games”. We have over 100 part-time seasonal teammates, and they are the only reason we’re able to serve fans well during games. They cook and serve food, seat people, answer fans’ questions, get the crowd hyped, you name it – we have teammates for it.

You’ll help us ensure we have the best bunch possible for these important positions! You’ll review applications, lead interviews, help us communicate well with all of our teammates in a timely manner, participate in scheduling, and help us plan fun events for our teammates.

You’ll thrive in this role if you are as friendly as you are driven, are intuitive, and enjoy taking ownership and multi-tasking.

This is a fully in-office position.

Estimated Hours: 20 hours/week, 15 weeks – but, we’re flexible!

Start Date: Mid January (flexible)

End Date: Late April (flexible)

Potential for continuation through the summer – yes!

TICKET SALES & OPERATIONS

The individual chosen to learn from the Ticketing Department will help with each touch point of the buying experience. To us, the buying experience is so much more than a moment of purchase. You’ll participate in the preparation of messages before purchase, celebration during, delivery of tickets, appreciation of fans, communication at event, and the follow up.

You will be joining our largest department and will support the ticketing staff to oversee thousands of accounts on a weekly basis.

You’ll thrive in this role if you are friendly, driven, attentive, and enjoy taking ownership on a project.

This is a fully in-office position.

Estimated Hours: 20 hours/week, 15 weeks – but, we’re flexible!
