Dispatcher & Fleet Coordinator

Working with Fans First Entertainment

Working with Fans First Entertainment is fun, challenging, and exciting. We have a team of extremely talented and positive people who are committed and energized by our mission. When it comes to the Banana Ball, they live and breathe “Fans First, Entertain Always.”

The Fans First way guides our team and our teammates to always be caring, different, enthusiastic, fun, growing, and hungry. Everyone shows personal and professional growth and they are constantly serving and impacting others. We’ve built an All-Star team of the best creators, performers, and doers in business. We constantly bring on people who contribute to the atmosphere of intelligence, passion, and fun! The team is obsessed with challenging the status quo and finding a better way to do almost everything for our fans.

Our Vision

Our Banana Ball teams are 24/7/365 brands for people from all over the world to experience and align with. Each team brings their own elements of fun and entertainment to Banana Ball fans across the world.

Featuring the most electric and fun teams in sports, the experience we take to cities on our tours need to not only live up to the hype, but exceed the expectations for all those we encounter.

As the Banana Ball World Tour scales to serve more fans, planning, organizing, and coordinating operational logistics for hundreds of teammates and all of our varying supply and set-up requirements have become even more imperative.

While taking the show on the road is perhaps one of the most innovative and exciting endeavors we’ve taken on, executing the logistical operations is a massive undertaking. Scaling to new heights will only be worth it if fans are having a world class experience and teammates can come home from being on tour feeling energized and accomplished as a result of the intentional planning and clear communication of that plan that we’ve provided.

The Dispatcher / Fleet Manager is responsible for the coordination and operational oversight of our touring fleet. This individual will manage daily dispatch operations, provide real-time support to drivers, and ensure fleet readiness across all regulatory and logistical needs. Responsibilities include dispatching, maintenance tracking, driver compliance, IFTA reporting, and administrative tasks like invoicing. Familiarity with the Motive ELD platform is required, as it plays a central role in our driver compliance and tracking systems.

Why is this job not for everyone?
        • We are building the plane as we are flying it. There’s no playbook for all of the challenges we will encounter, but we must identify and approach those challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
        • We will expect and push for the highest standard of execution and expect someone that is hungry to learn, get better and take constructive feedback.
        • You are going to be micro-led like crazy until trust is earned. You’ll work directly with Jesse DiSandro, our Tour Logistics Director.
        • At a company that is well-known and has well-known characters, this position is backstage to the ‘glamor and spotlight’ but that doesn’t mean it isn’t extremely important.
        • The job is demanding. Our growth is rapid and our expectations for serving fans and teammates continue to increase. We often work night/weekend hours to ensure that we’re meeting these expectations for them.
        • Working with people can get messy. You must remain calm and work to find an immediate solution to concerns being raised, as well as taking note of the challenge to ensure that a future Upstream solution can be installed in advance if “next time” is inevitable.
        • You will receive feedback in the form of critique, opportunity for improvement and praise – however, it is not guaranteed to be weighted in a specific amount.

Because of the challenges with this job, here are the Expectations:

You will be given more freedom in decision making as you earn your stripes and understanding of this business and organization. It’s going to take time to learn the ropes. The more you learn and the faster you learn, the more freedom that is earned.

You must be able to learn from decisions made in situations we’ve already encountered to be able to best prepare for if/when that situation arises in the future. The information on which you make decisions will rapidly change, so you will need to use deductive reasoning skills, as well as past experiences to make the best decision you can.

We must be clear and prompt in our planning, mapping and communication of the plan. We must have efficient processes that highlight the values and standards of excellence we expect.

In this position, you will represent Fans First Entertainment in not only your internal relationships, but through connections and interactions you have with representatives from other venues and organizations. You must be clear and respectful in your interactions, calling upon a level of “professionalism” with others that is not typically required in our internal relationships.

You will meet regularly with your team to review goals, objectives, priorities, and results of your work and the department’s work. Decisions will be made together.

You will be evaluated by your performance by both your direct leaders and your peers. You will also be evaluated by how well your actions and behaviors align with our organizational culture.
