Grayson Stadium
Grayson Stadium, nestled in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, is a timeless treasure that has been a cornerstone of the city’s rich baseball heritage since 1926. Originally named Municipal Stadium, it was rebuilt in 1941 following a devastating hurricane. It was then renamed in honor of William L. Grayson, as testament to his lasting impact on Savannah’s sports culture and his legacy as a beloved figure in the city’s history.
Over the years, Grayson Stadium has welcomed legendary players like Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, and Mickey Mantle, as they graced its field during exhibition games. Today, it stands as the home of the Savannah Bananas, where the iconic Banana Ball brings new energy to its storied past. With its classic architecture and electric atmosphere, Grayson Stadium remains a vibrant symbol of community, tradition, and the love of the game.

Weather
We never want to talk about the “4 letter word that starts with an R”, but sometimes it’s wise to.
“It’s raining where I am coming from – Is the game still on?” – the answer is YES! Keep in mind, the Ball park is in a big and beautiful area. While it may be raining where you are coming from, there is probably sunshine and butterflies in Bananaland.
Even if it’s wet – We always closely monitor the weather, and do everything humanly (and Bananaly) possible in order to play games as they are scheduled.
9 times out of 10, we’re playing ball once the weather clears. 10 times out of 10, we STILL put on a heck of a show!
Best thing you can do is plan to be at the stadium ready to rock, as we anticipate everything to start on time! Should things change, we will communicate via email as well as post on our social media accounts!
