Working with Fans First Entertainment
Working with Fans First Entertainment is fun, challenging, and exciting. We have a team of extremely talented and positive people who are committed and energized by our mission. When it comes to the Banana Ball, they live and breathe “Fans First, Entertain Always.”
The Fans First way guides our team and our teammates to always be caring, different, enthusiastic, fun, growing, and hungry. Everyone shows personal and professional growth and they are constantly serving and impacting others. We’ve built an All-Star team of the best creators, performers, and doers in business. We constantly bring on people who contribute to the atmosphere of intelligence, passion, and fun! The team is obsessed with challenging the status quo and finding a better way to do almost everything for our fans.
Our Vision
The Savannah Bananas are a 24/7/365 brand for people from all over the world to experience and align with.
As the most electric and fun team in sports, the quality and variety of Bananas gear needs to be reflective of the first-class and unique experience Fans have in person or see online.
In order to meet the expectations of our fans as it relates to the gear we provide, we must have efficient processes that enable us to scale quickly as demand for product and service changes.
The dramatic growth for Banana Ball brands has led us to acquire larger warehousing space to more efficiently fulfill online orders and expand our physical retail logistics for our world tour events.
The Receiving Specialist plays a key role in keeping our merchandise warehouse running smoothly and efficiently. This position ensures all incoming goods are received accurately, inspected thoroughly, and placed in the right location. The ideal candidate has some warehouse or inventory experience, strong attention to detail, and is eager to grow into a more seasoned logistics professional.
Why is this job not for everyone?
-
-
-
- We are building the plane as we are flying it. There’s no playbook for all of the challenges we will encounter, but we must identify and approach those challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
- We don’t have huge budget for tons of equipment and supplies. We will invest in them over time as we grow, but don’t expect a spending spree.
- Our Headquarters are in a highly competitive market for warehouse space, so there will be space constraints.
- We will expect and push for an extremely high standard of execution and expect someone that is hungry to learn, get better and take constructive feedback.
- At a company that is well-known and has well-known characters, this position is backstage to the ‘glamor and spotlight’ but that doesn’t mean it isn’t extremely important.
- The job is demanding. Our growth is rapid and our expectations for serving fans continue to increase. We often work night/weekend hours to ensure that we’re meeting these expectations for them.
- Our vendors will mess something up that causes a headache. You must remain calm and work to find an immediate solution as well as a future Upstream solution.
- You will receive feedback in the form of critique, opportunity for improvement and praise – however, it is not guaranteed to be weighted in a specific amount.
-
-
Because of the challenges with this job, here are the Expectations:
- An obsession with learning from outside the organization and our industry – we can only grow as fast as we can learn best practices and innovative techniques.
- Someone who moves confidently with clear decision making – we learn most from doing. We must have a bias for action and not have paralysis by analysis.
- Details, Details, Details. “The thing that’s going to make Disneyland unique and different is the detail, if we lose the detail, we lose it all.” – Walt Disney
- The ability to focus and prioritize the most important things and eliminate distractions. It’s easy to get wooed or pulled into a variety of different lanes. There are a million little ‘good things’ we can be doing, but knowing the highest and best use of our time and leverage is critical. Good is the enemy of Great.
- Someone of high character and integrity. You will have many key relationships that need to be developed on the basis of trust and care. Your title and experience do not make you the leader. It’s whether or not people choose to follow you.
Key Responsibilities:
-
-
- Be the Gatekeeper: Know what’s coming in, match deliveries to purchase orders, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Inspect with Care: Give every box and item a once-over (or twice!) to check for damages or quality issues.
- Put Things in Their Place: Organize and store goods so the warehouse stays neat, efficient, and easy to navigate.
- Keep the Numbers Honest: Jump in on spot checks or full counts to make sure our inventory tells the real story.
- Document Like a Pro: Record what arrives, what doesn’t, and what needs attention, keeping the team in the loop.
- Team Up: Work hand-in-hand with purchasing, warehouse, and merch teams to keep products flowing smoothly.
- Keep It Safe & Clean: Follow safety protocols and help keep our receiving area looking sharp.
-
What’s needed:
Experience:
1–2 years in a warehouse, receiving, or inventory role (enough to know the ropes, but still hungry to learn more).
Skills:
A sharp eye for detail — you love catching the small stuff.
Comfortable with purchase orders and basic inventory systems.
Strong organizational chops.
Solid communication with teammates.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and safely use warehouse equipment (with training).
Mindset:
Dependable, eager to grow, and energized by being part of a fast-moving team.
Merchandise Teammates Always Be Caring, Different, Enthusiastic, Fun, Growing, and Hungry.
