SAVANNAH, GA – The Savannah Bananas have now sold merchandise in all 50 states. Only seven months after Fans First Entertainment announced the name of Savannah’s new baseball team, shirts and hats have been sold in every state.
Merchandise was sold in 45 states within a week of the name reveal, thanks to coverage by national news outlets, including ESPN, MLB Network, and Yahoo! Sports. International orders also started pouring in, from countries including Australia, England, and Germany. The large demand caused the team to shut down online orders overseas.
After Georgia, the states with the most merchandise sales include South Carolina (505), Florida (147), North Carolina (129), and New York (118). The final state to place a merchandise order was Montana.
