Fan Fest Draws Hundreds

FAN FEST WELCOMES HUNDREDS

SAVANNAH, GA, May 30, 2016 – The Savannah Bananas opened the gates of Grayson Stadium to their fans for the first time in the baseball club’s history. Hundreds of people filled the ballpark to have a first look at the new team and the changes made to the stadium.

The players treated the crowd to batting practice, autographs and even a little dancing. On top of the entertainment, fans enjoyed all you can you eat and drink throughout the evening. One of the many highlights of the day was when President of the Bananas, Jared Orton sat on the plank of the dunk tank, giving fans the opportunity to put him under water.

Owner Jesse Cole was thrilled with the day, “It was an absolutely amazing turnout,” he said. “We can’t thank the community enough for their support. Our players had a lot of fun and we can’t wait till showtime on Thursday for opening night.”

Numerous Five Game All You Can Eat Ticket packages were sold for the season.  Very limited general admission tickets remain for Opening Night on Thursday.

Fans can pick up their tickets at Grayson Stadium from 8:30-5:30 or by calling 912-712-2482.
